The Muslim Brotherhood: International Justice’s Decision Marks the Beginning of Ending Aggression Against the Palestinian People

The Muslim Brotherhood affirms that the International Court of Justice’s decision to accept the lawsuit filed against the Zionist occupation marks the starting point that should be built upon. This involves expediting a decision to cease fire and stop the aggression against the Palestinian people, so as not to render the decision meaningless.

The group also confirms that the Court’s decision, which stipulates “ensuring the immediate provision of urgent humanitarian needs to the Gaza Strip,” puts pressure on the authorities in Egypt to open the Rafah crossing and allow the urgent entry of all necessities to the area, disregarding any instructions issued in this regard by the Zionist occupation.

The Brotherhood calls on Arab and Islamic governments and peoples to take advantage of the Court’s demand to provide for Gaza’s needs. This should be done by broadly facilitating all forms of assistance to the besieged Palestinian people in Gaza, especially in terms of food, medicine, and fuel.

The group renews its appreciation for the role played by South Africa in filing a legal case against the Zionist occupation at the International Court of Justice, championing the Palestinian people’s right to freedom, independence, and resisting aggression.
