Banning UNRWA Operations is an Affront to Society and International Institutions

The Muslim Brotherhood condemns the prohibition of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) from operating within the occupied Palestinian territories. This comes amidst an ongoing campaign of genocide conducted by the Zionist occupation for over a year, which has claimed the lives of more than 43,000 martyrs, most of whom are women and children.

The international community and institutions’ failure to curb the brutality of the occupying entity undermines both regional and international peace and security, pushing the entire region toward an escalating cycle of conflict and ultimately toward a full-scale regional war.

The ongoing massacres committed by the occupation since the beginning of the war, along with the complete blockade imposed on northern Gaza, are clear indications of the occupation's intent to commit genocide and ethnic cleansing against the Palestinian people, in blatant violation of all international and humanitarian laws.

The Brotherhood calls on international and regional powers to pressure the Zionist occupation to cease its ongoing aggression against Gaza, to enforce a ceasefire, withdraw completely from Gaza, and achieve a fair prisoner exchange agreement as a prelude to the commencement of Gaza's reconstruction.
