In clear violation of the law on political rights, supporters of the National Democratic Party candidate, Ahmed Mustafa Al-Reedy, in Meidum village El-Wasta, Beni Suef governorate, threw firebombs made from cotton and firewood mixed with kerosene into the house of a supporter of MP Mohamed Shaker Al-Deeb for El-Wasta, leaving his house in flames. Villagers managed to extinguish the fire which broke out in places that were hard to reach. A few hours ago, Egyptian security forces arrested three supporters of MB candidate, El-Deeb, as the fierce campaign continues that started before dawn on Sunday with Egyptian police arresting four supporters of MB candidates throughout the country. Security forces abducted a 17-year-old student, Ahmed Mohammed, and a teacher, Ahmed Amin, from the street. |
