The threats by Israeli occupation authority (IOA) leaders against Hamas and Gaza Strip reflect their criminal intention and would not terrorize those leaders or the Gaza inhabitants, Mousa Al-Samak, a Hamas leader in the central Strip district, said.

Samak told the PIC on Friday that threats would only boost insistence on confronting any IOA aggression.

He noted that the criminal nature of the IOA was obvious during the last war on Gaza that inflicted around 7,000 casualties.

The Hamas leader charged that the IOA was practicing state terrorism that targets all sectors of the Palestinian people.

A former commander of the southern command of the Israeli army had called for escalating military action against the Gaza Strip and to target Hamas leaders.

For his part, Sylvan Shalom, Israel's deputy premier, said that the Israeli army might launch a large-scale offensive on Gaza if the rockets fired from there did not stop.

He told the Hebrew radio on Friday that if there is no other option to stop those rockets then Israeli will intensify attacks on Hamas.

The Israeli warplanes launched a series of raids on various targets in the Strip at dawn Friday wounding three children and causing material damage
