Pro-Democracy National Alliance Calls 'Fulfilling the Revolution' Protest Week
Pro-Democracy National Alliance Calls 'Fulfilling the Revolution' Protest Week
Egypt's nationwide anti-coup coalition reiterates that Egypt's current predicament and crises can only be solved through completion of the January 25, 2011 Revolution, in order to oust the military junta with all its inhuman repression and reckless administration of the country's affairs.

Five years ago, Egypt's youth launched their calls for revolution, gathering and getting ready to take to the streets and squares on January 25, 2011 with some actively participating and others throwing doubts on the endeavors. Egypt's youth proved to be capable of carrying the responsibility as they in fact fulfilled their promises and broke the barrier of fear, turning up in their thousands in Tahrir Square, taking the Mubarak regime by surprise. They repeated their huge rallies again on January 26 and 27, ending with the huge wave of January 28 which defeated the oppressive regime's brutal police forces.

Now, we remember those good days of great patriotism, and we prepare for a grand repeat. The putschist regime is cowering from the Revolution's steadfast young and old, men and women. It has given rein to its dogs everywhere to arrest youth, terrorize people and intimidate them so they would not turn out for revolutionary anti-coup rallies. It is building yet more prisons to accommodate the growing numbers of political prisoners from all governorates across Egypt.

Abdel-Fattah Al-Sisi and his gang make a big mistake if they think these repressive measures will really intimidate Egyptian youth and stop them from defending their Revolution, or that they can kill the dream inside patriotic youth.

Sisi forgets that these young people have faced up to Mubarak and his police state. He forgets they faced up to the coup regime, and bravely risked their own lives, as they carried the bodies of the martyrs, their friends, on their shoulders.

These young people do not fear Sisi's repressive measures. They are ready for them. They realize there is no value to life with indignity and humiliation, oppression, poverty and hunger. Also, they realize the way out of all this will only come about by putting an end to military rule.

The Anti-Coup Pro-Legitimacy National Alliance remembers, with pride and admiration, all those young people who led the preparation for the Revolution in January 2011 and who are still loyal to the Revolution and its principles and its martyrs, and who have not turned away, changed or turned against it.

The Alliance calls for a new revolutionary week under the title "Fulfilling the Revolution" as part of the ongoing broad revolutionary wave entitled "Revolution until victory".

The Revolution is the only way to save Egypt from tyranny and despotism, and to take it forward towards progress in all political, economic, scientific and social matters.

Remember how the whole world looked upon you, impressed by your courage and awareness. It will do so again when Egyptians are able to recover their freedom, their dignity and their free will, and give the world their model of democracy and development.
