The Anti-coup Pro-Legitimacy National Alliance mourns the highly-respected parliamentarian Dr. Farid Ismail, leader of both the Muslim Brotherhood and its political arm the Freedom and Justice Party (FJP), who died in Aqrab Prison as a result of medical negligence in junta jails.

The Alliance offers its deepest condolences to the Muslim nation as it mourns the great politician and resistance hero who defied injustice and tyranny in his homeland. The Alliance holds the military coup authorities fully responsible for the death of Dr. Farid Ismail.

The Alliance assures all that the hour of reckoning is upon us, and that fair and prompt retribution for each and every martyr will inevitably be exacted from the heinous murderers. No criminal will escape punishment.
