Reda Fahmi: Muslim Brotherhood Will Not Compromise
Reda Fahmi: Muslim Brotherhood Will Not Compromise
Opposition MP Reda Fahmi vows the Brotherhood will not succumb to military junta pressures.
Wednesday, December 31,2014 10:15

Dr. Reda Fahmi, Chairman of the Committee on Defense and National Security of the legitimate Shura Council (Egypt's second chamber of parliament) and leading member of the Freedom and Justice Party, said: "Those who imagine they can force the Muslim Brotherhood into compromising with the killers of Egyptians, or acceptance of military rule, even from behind the scene, are certainly mistaken.

On his official Facebook page, Dr. Fahmi said Tuesday: "Those who think the Brotherhood will be cowered and intimidated into a wait-and-see position, or disappear from the scene for 10 years, are most certainly wrong.

"Those who think that the Brotherhood, leadership or rank-and-file, may compromise on matters pertaining to their religion or their homeland, or betray the blood of the martyrs, are deluded. Those who think the Brotherhood may compromise with the murderers of Egyptians, or forgo retribution for all the Egyptian blood so brutally spilled, or accept that the army rules, even from behind the scene, are mistaken."
