Hamza Zawbaa, leading member of the Freedom and Justice Party (FJP),  mourned the victims of clashes between two tribes in Aswan governorate (in Upper Egypt) and led to the deaths and injury of dozens in an almost whole week of fighting.

In a tweet, Zawbaa said: "I pray to God that the spilling of Egyptian blood will be stopped immediately. I call upon all Aswan tribe elders to beware of God and halt the ongoing slaughter.

"I pray for mercy and peace for the martyrs. I hope the wise and free citizens of Aswan will succeed in stopping the murderous mayhem."
