Osama Morsi: President Morsi Tasks El-Awa to Protest Court Jurisdiction, Not to Defend Him
Egypt's elected President Mohamed Morsi appoints lawyer Awa to protest against court's jurisdiction in the sham trial of the Islamist leader on trumped up charges; asserting he does not recognize authority of court.

In a press statement, Osama Morsi, the son of Egypt's legitimate President Mohamed Morsi, said: "President Morsi did not authorize any lawyers to defend him in this farcical case. He only commissioned Dr. Mohamed Selim El-Awa to object to the court acting out of jurisdiction.

"This is the legal manner of non-recognition of the court. Which is consistent with the position of the legitimate President who rejects all interrogation that falls beyond the articles of the 2012 Constitution chosen by the people for themselves."
