FJP, Brotherhood to Join Friday Million-Man Marches to Demand Judiciary Independence and Reform
Egypt Muslim Brotherhood and its political wing decide to join mass marches and demonstrations across Egypt on Friday, April 19 to demand completion of the revolution and its goals.

Official Statements from Dr. Mahmoud Hussein, Secretary General of the Muslim Brotherhood; and Dr. Hussein Ibrahim, the Freedom and Justice Party Secretary General:

In response to calls by Egyptian political forces, the Muslim Brotherhood and the Freedom and Justice Party have decided to participate in Friday, April 19 million-man marches and demonstrations outside Cairo’s High Court and all liberation squares across Egypt.

These huge demonstrations will aim to achieve the demands of the Revolution, demanding that:

1. Shura Council (upper house of Egypt’s parliament) must approve the Judicial Authority Law, which achieves independence of the judiciary.

2. All state institutions must be cleansed of the corrupt, with all this means of appropriate revolutionary action as necessary.

3. Prosecuting and punishing all those involved in the murder of unarmed revolutionaries, as well as all symbols of the former regime who corrupted political life.

4. Endeavoring to recover all moneys stolen from Egypt and smuggled abroad.
