Press Release on Muslim Brotherhood General Shura Council Meeting on Friday and Saturday
Egypt’s Muslim Brotherhood advisory council is to convene a regular meeting to discuss recent constitutional referendum results, forthcoming parliamentary elections and other important issues.

Dr. Mahmoud Hussein, Muslim Brotherhood Secretary-General, announced that the Muslim Brotherhood’s General Shura Council will hold a regular meeting on Friday and Saturday January 11 and 12, 2013 to discuss the following topics:

1. The election of a new member for the Brotherhood’s Guidance Bureau, to replace Dr. Mohamed Ali Bishr, who was appointed Governor for Menoufia province, according to regulations. [Dr. Bisher has been recently reappointed as Minister of Local Development.]

2. Results of the constitutional referendum and preparations for forthcoming parliamentary elections.

3. Developments in the political scene and vision for the future.

4. Celebration of the January 25, 2011 revolution.

A press statement on the results of this meeting will be issued on Saturday at 5PM local time (3PM GMT).
