El-Prince: Ex-Regime Security Elements Endeavor to Terrorize Egyptians Following Morsi’s Election
Certain media outlets seem to conspire with Mubarak-era holdovers and legacy security elements to scare and punish the Egyptian people for choosing someone not affiliated with the corrupt defunct regime.

The media war against Islamists in Egypt goes on, focusing on continued attempts, over the past few days, to establish in people’s minds that there is an Islamist group called ‘The Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice Group’, a kind of morality police, completely fabricated by the media and collaborators.

This relentless war is especially intensified after the incident of an Egyptian man from the province of Suez was involved in an altercation that led to his death, while walking with his fiancée – an incident which the FJP in Suez, as well as the province’s governor, sees as a criminal act that must be dealt with promptly according to relevant laws.

Minister of Interior, Major General Mohamed Ibrahim revealed the identity of the three defendants accused of murdering the man in Suez, saying the culprits do not belong to any political movement and have no religious orientation, denying that they have anything to do with a group called ‘the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice’.

Meanwhile Dr. Hassan El-Prince, member of the Freedom and Justice Party (FJP)’s National Committee, commented on the so-called 'group of Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice', saying: "This is evidently a plot by elements of the former regime’s now dissolved State Security apparatus. They now use a bunch of thugs in order to spread terror among the citizens in order to intimidate the public and force them to fear for their personal freedoms, with an Islamist in the office of the Presidency. They want to make Egyptian citizens feel that they erred by voting for an Islamist trend."
