Dr. Ahmed Suleiman, Assistant Secretary-General of the Freedom and Justice Party (FJP) assured that the party did not at all discuss or submit any draft law to combat computer and internet hacking or terrorist and pornographic website crimes, contrary to what certain websites have reported.

Further, Dr. Suleiman said, in a press statement, that this issue was not at all discussed within the Secretariat of Development and Planning nor by the Communications and Technology Committee of the FJP.

He asserted that no such draft law was even listed on the agenda at meetings of the Committee. Moreover, Suleiman stressed that the FJP is interested in several laws of which it seeks to pass as many as possible during the first legislative term.

These draft laws are: the minimum and maximum wage law, the independence of the judiciary, the independence of Al-Azhar, the Health Insurance law, the Secondary (High) School law, and the draft Law on market regulations and the prevention of monopolistic practices.

In addition, the FJP is considering the anti-graft bill, the Mineral Resources Act, the Fisheries bill, the trade unions bill, the independence of universities bill, and the draft law on cooperatives.
