Dr. Hammam Saeed, Muslim Brotherhood leader in Jordan, called for a general boycott of Russian and Chinese goods after both countries used the so-called Veto in the UN Security Council against a draft resolution condemning the bloody repression in Syria.

He said in a statement Saturday (4 February 2011), "Use of the Veto by the two states makes them complicit with the Syrian regime in the shedding of innocent blood".

Dr. Saeed said, "We do not know how these countries can justify this stance in support of a crime – unprecedented in recent history."

The Brotherhood leader also said, "Here is the murderous Syrian regime bombing cities with tanks, killing hundreds in one day and violating all human principles, human and Heavenly", adding, "these countries must realize that their interests lie not with the Syrian regime, but with the Syrian people."

He called for a general boycott of Russian and Chinese goods by all Arab and Muslim peoples who stand with the Syrian people's demands for freedom and dignity, stressing that this stance from the two states should not pass without a reaction from the peoples.
