The HEC announced the results of the winners competing for the party list and individual seats in the postponed first phase in the North Cairo First district.

 The HEC announced the results of the winners competing for the party list and individual seats in the postponed first phase in the North Cairo First district. The results confirmed that the Freedom and Justice party secured 158254 out of the valid 390838 votes in the district. Whereas the party's candidate for the individual seat Fahmy Abdo (professional seat ) will compete in the runoff after receiving 146725 votes. Kamal Mahdy also a FJP candidate for the (workers seat) will also be in the runoff after garnering 167940 votes.


With these results it may be ascertained that the FJP won 26 extra seats in parliament. During the reruns scheduled to take place on January 17 and 18, 7 candidates will compete for seats.


Unfortunately, six candidates were unsuccessful in securing seats in the postponed districts round.

Four candidates however will compete in the runoffs to take place in Daqahleya, Qalubeya, Qena and South Sinai on January 14 and 15.
