High profile delegation from Freedom and Justice Party (FJP), led by party’s Chairman Dr. Mohamed Morsi, and Secretary General Dr. Saad Katatny will attend the Coptic Orthodox Christmas celebrations at the Orthodox Church, and offer them good wishes at the occasion of Jesus' birth, Peace Be Upon Him.  Muslim Brotherhood (MB), Deputy Chairman Dr. Mahmoud Ghozlan will also attend.

Party leaders stated that Islam orders Muslims to be tolerant and respective of the Christians and their beliefs.

“Celebrating with our fellow brethrens is a real chance for Muslims and Christians to show their unity and appreciation to eachothers" party highlighted.

MB and FJP youth had formed popular and security checkpoints around churches to protect them during the New Year's and Christmas celebrations, a step that was welcomed by church officials.
