FJP Demands Swift Investigations Into Tahrir Sqaure Violence
Alexandria’s Freedom and Justice Party (FJP) Secretary Hussein Ibrahim condemned the violence in Tahrir Square earlier this week which took place between families of the martyrs and security forces.

Alexandria’s Freedom and Justice Party (FJP) Secretary Hussein Ibrahim condemned the violence in Tahrir Square earlier this week which took place between families of the martyrs and security forces.
 
The clashes, which left over 1000 people injured, occurred few hours after a court ruling to dismantle municipal councils nationwide. Ibrahim stressed that the party rejects both the violence by the police against citizens, and rioting by citizens. He stated that these clashes benefit nobody and in fact hinder the revolution’s success and the development of the nation.
 
He urged the ruling authorities and Sharaf’s government to take immediate action against those who advocated such violence and to take measures to stem further sedition.


Hussein appealed to the people not to be misled and deceived by what he described as plans by remnants of the regime to undermine the revolution’s success. He asserted that unity and solidarity are significant to achieve stability at these critical time of the nation's history.
