Seventy-five Muslim Brotherhood members have succeeded so far in submitting applications for nomination in Egypt's parliamentary election, despite security intervention and hindrances.

Security forces brutally attack political opposition demonstrating in front of the Municipal Building in the Gharbeya governorate after being prevented from handing in applications for parliamentary candidates and prevent journalists and media from the vicinity.

UPDATE:
Security forces in Fayoum arrested 4 supporters of the Muslim Brotherhood candidates as they accompanied them to submit their nomination papers.
The detainees including the son of MB’s nominee Ahmadi Qasim and two press photographers were transported to an unknown destination.

Crowds threatened to stage an open ended sit in if authorities continued their repressive measures. Officials later released Qasim's son  however the remaining detainees remain in custody
