Palestinian citizens in 1948 occupied Palestine on Saturday demonstrated in front of the Israeli jail of Shatta demanding release of their prisoners.

A representative for the prisoners' committee said that the sit-in was a message of support for the prisoners and their struggle against the Israeli prisons authority's policy of repression and humiliation.

The rally is also a message to the human rights groups to assume their responsibility in following up the violations against those prisoners, he added
