The association reported that the Israeli prisons authority (IPA) imposed the punishment after discovering mobile phones in the possession of those prisoners.

The association noted that the IPA jailers stormed the prison's various wards a couple of days ago and thoroughly searched the prison cells while detaining the prisoners in humiliating conditions after shackling them.

It said that the escalation was deliberate so as to prevent the prisoners from launching any protest steps on the occasion of the upcoming Palestinian prisoner's day in addition to depriving them of their simplest rights.
