Professors belonging to the Muslim Brotherhood Movement in Cairo University have asserted that they will enter the "Teaching Staff's Club" elections. The gates have been open for nominations today and for the first time elections will take place on the university's campus.

Dr Medhat Assem vice president of the Teacher's Club stated to Ikhwanonline that the Brotherhood's nominees will not give up any of their constitutional rights and will continue to defend what is rightfully theirs. Any stubbornness and unjust actions practiced by the university's administration and security    will not be accepted and will be met by resistance asserting that they are entering the elections with the utmost optimism and energy, despite former   lacking on behalf of the courts. They intend to live up to the responsibilities and trust of those who elect them.

In regards to the nominees' list a meeting will be scheduled with Professors from other political tides to decide on the candidates names.

In a related issue Dr Mohamed Abo Ghar has affirmed that the members of "The March 9 university independence movement" will not enter the elections claiming that the "Ill intentions of the government and their insistence on rigging elections and using state forces is reason enough for their abstinence".
