Unprecedentedly, six security vehicles blockaded the Faculty of Engineering in Al Matareyya on Tuesday, November 11, from 8am until the end of the academic day. Then a self inspection was set for all the students, leading to crowd in the street, and the students’ delay for entering the university. The students were irritated, and two of them objected on the delay and inspection, and so, their ID cards were taken. The two students are: Yaser Zakareyya Mohamed and Mohamed Ibrahim Zakareyya (third year –civilian section).

Moreover, three brigades and a large number of officers stormed the faculty and confiscated mobile phones belonging to students with no political affiliation, in charge of taking photos on university campus.

Furthermore, the vice dean of the faculty, Ali Abdur-Raziq assaulted on Monday two MB students: Walid Rabea and Ahmed Abdul-Wahhab, after they had held an exhibition, extending the campaign of ‘Raqi Be’akhlaqi’. And as a result, a delegation of four students headed to meet the dean, but the secretary told them he had a meeting. They stayed waiting for three hours, then, it was permitted for only one student to enter. When he entered and narrated what happened, the dean expelled him out.

Also Helwan University is one of the most universities to have aggressive breaches and violations against students, where three students were arrested.
