Students of Faculty of Engineering at Ain Shams University launched a campaign entitled “So as Not to Get Spanked” to raise students’ awareness about the security officers’ limits while treating them after a female student was beaten by a security officer on Thursday.

A number of students at the Faculty of Engineering went to the office of Dean of Faculty Dr. Hadia al Hennawy and some members of the stuff to solve the crisis of the student, who refused to talk to media because her uncle is a professor at the same faculty.

Sources close to the student told Ikhwanweb that she is filing a lawsuit against the officer and the Faculty Dean.

Students warned that if no one responds to their demand of dismissing the officer, they are going to heighten their protests until he is dismissed.

If a student hits his/her colleague, he is to be dismissed according to a decision of the Faculty President. Why then do not they apply this to the officer? Students said in their statement.
