Security forces arrested 16 activists who belong to April 6 movement on Wednesday evening in Alexandria from Abu Haif beach at Alexandria’s Miami district.

Security forces arrested 16 activists who belong to April 6 movement on Wednesday evening in Alexandria from Abu Haif beach at Alexandria’s Miami district.

 

Eye witnesses told Ikhwanweb that the youth put on shirts with April 6 Youth logo raising Egypt’s flag and chanting patriotic songs while walking on the beach after participating in a conference organized by Al-Ghad Party in Alexandria.

 

When a state security officer asked them to stop chanting and to take off those shirts; the youth refused. Therefore, the officer called two police cars filled with forces who assaulted the youth and took them to Pharaohs’ state security premises in Alex.

 

Ikhwanweb reporter said the detainees are Muhammad Taher (Al-Badeel newspaper reporter), Khaled Adel, Mahinor Al-Mesry, Yusuf Sha`baan, Basem Fathi, Mustafa Maher, Amr Ali, Nour Al- Din Subhi, Medhat Shaker, Mu`tassem Billah Muhammad, Tareq Tito, Muhammad Mahmoud, Ahmad Nassar, Ahmad Afifi, and others.
