A Palestinian cancer patient died in Rafah city, south of the Gaza Strip, on Wednesday night after medicines necessary for his case ran out of stock in the besieged Strip.

Medical sources said that the 45-year-old Mohammed Abu Taha became the 62nd victim of the IOF oppressive siege that closed all crossings and denied exit permission for seriously ill patients to receive treatment abroad.

Hundreds of Palestinians suffering from chronic diseases are trapped in the Strip without being able to receive proper treatment or to travel outside it.

The popular committee against the siege warned that those patients are threatened by imminent death in the event the IOF siege persisted.
