A Palestinian woman died in Gaza Tuesday night to bring the number of Palestinian patients dying in the besieged Strip to 61 after being banned from treatment abroad.

Medical sources said that Mariam Joda, 32, died after long suffering from a chronic disease and was denied permission to leave the Strip for treatment by the Israeli occupation authority.

Hundreds of seriously ill Palestinians are facing a similar fate in view of the continuing IOF siege of the Strip and scarcity of medicines.

Meanwhile, in another development IOF troops on Wednesday rounded up ten Palestinians in various West Bank areas for interrogation.
