Egyptian Security Raid MB Bookstores, Printing Offices in Monoufia

Egyptian security forces stormed on Wednesday, Dec, 12th, 2007, into bookstores and printing offices belonging to the Muslim Brotherhood (MB) in Monofiya. They forces seized huge amounts of books and computers inside these places.

Egyptian security forces stormed on Wednesday, Dec, 12th, 2007,  into bookstores and printing offices belonging to the Muslim Brotherhood (MB) in Monofiya. They forces seized huge amounts of books and computers inside these places.
 
For his part, Sabri Mohamed Amer, a member of the MB parliamentary bloc in the People"s Assembly, the lower chamber of parliament, condemned these raids, saying:" The current method adopted by the government (in dealing with the opposition) is a barbaric method that does not care for any possible repercussions. The security services are dealing recklessly with people without thinking of the possible consequences, endangering the structure of the country altogether ."
 
 Amer sees that this repressive method of raiding companies that provide people with their sources of living must change. It will only change when wise men take reins of power and realize that all those repressive raids and attacks actually backfire. They actually lead to a more dropping of public rating for the ruling National Democratic Party, and their fallouts affect even the chairman of the National Democratic Party, the president of Egypt", he said."
Amer saw that the current policy of repression and deception adopted by the government will change when the regime realizes that there is a real danger facing the ruling party, and if usual instructions coming from foreign powers changed and ordered him to alter the currently adopted policy towards the Egyptian people in general and the Muslim Brotherhood in particular. Such instructions (from foreign powers) are unfortunately the only ones given due respect and having an effect on the current regime, according to him.
