MB Executive Bureau’s Mahmoud Hussein Demands Release for Health Reasons

Dr. Mahmoud Hussein, a member of the Muslim Brotherhood (MB) Executive Bureau, developed an acute heart attack in Tora Farm prison. He was sent to Al-Qasr Al-Aini hospital and had a diagnostic catheter to clearly show that he urgently requires an open heart surgery because he suffers from " coronary artery Atherosclerosis . Hussein was detained last Friday, August, 17th, 2007, along with Dr. Essam El-Erian during a meeting that included officials of the MB administrative offices in Greater Cairo and Upper Egypt. His lawyer will submit a request today to the attorney general demanding releasing him for health reasons specially after his health deteriorated and the maltreatment he faced after keeping him in handcuffed even in his bed in the intensive care unit.
